Canon Point: Several years post-Persona 4, Kanji has joined the Shadow Operatives as a full-fledged veteran Operative by this time.

Appearance: A tall and muscular man, Kanji stands at a whopping six foot five, with bleach blond hair that's constantly kept swept back and out of his face. He wears a pair of colored contacts to correct his vision while also making his eyes ice blue, and a short, well-groomed goatee. He dresses fairly formally, usually decked in a black button down with a vest colored black in the back and pink on the breast and torso, white slacks and black leather combat boots. He also wears a body holster with a strange-looking gun holstered on his chest at all times. His body is riddled with scars, and he has a large scar just above his left eye from his days fighting gangs.
First Impressions: A man of brusque and short speech, Kanji usually leaves these he meets feeling a bit agitated, as if they were pushed to stoop to the level of talking to a common Yakuza tough.
Reputation: Kanji is widely known- even still- for his penchant to take out gangs of disruptive bikers and criminals single-handedly. His wild temper and foul mouth were things of legend in his hometoen of Inaba, and though they have cooled considerably, most still attribute him with his more violent youth.

Likes: Soft things, pink things, small animals, sewing, art, friends, "bringing a war," "stupid, cute shit," Topsicles.
Dislikes: Liars, cheats, thieves, murderers, being stuffed into a TV, being made fun of for his sexuality, Teddie and Yosuke Hanamura's gay jokes.
Quirks: He tends to yell. A lot. He also uses unconventional weaponry like chairs, school desks and shields to bludgeon his foes with.
Personality A brash man who tends to act before he thinks, Kanji is the heart of the Investigation Team. A man who wears his emotions on his oddly-stuck-to-his-shoulders-like-a-cape sleeves, he doesn't believe in beating around the bush and isn't much of one for pomp and circumstance. If he thinks you're cool, he'll let you know. If he thinks you're a tool, he'll let you take a beating to find out.
Background: Kanji was the child of two well-to-do seamsters running a historic textile shop in Inaba, and thus was interested in things like sewing and art from a young age. After being picked on for years at school for liking "girly" things, Kanji took his dying father's last words, "Be strong, my son," to mean something other than the man had intended, and Kanji threw himself headlong into a life of conflict, delinquency and bleaching his hair. After he turned fifteen, he met the people he'd come to know as his senpai, the first four of the Investigation Team, when they rescued him from being kidnapped. Pledging to lend his power to their cause, Kanji joined their ranks as the powerhouse, and helped them bring a close to the murder mystery surrounding the foggy mountain town. After he was introduced to the Shadow Operatives, he found that the incident that happened in Inaba was one of many like it, and he transferred schools and signed up with the Operatives himself. It's been six years, and he's a veteran member, but has yet to return home. Will his friends forgive him his absence?
Special Abilities, Talents, etc.:His Persona, Takeji Zaiten, which is a large mechanical construct, primarily white with bitchin' rad flame decals that totally make him go faster and a large sword wrought of metal in the shape of a gout of flame. Takeji Zaiten has a massive white cape, almost-comically-large chest and arms, and the most bitchin' mustache known to robotkind. Takeji Zaiten uses mostly physical attacks and buffs, with a couple lightning elemental spells thrown into the mix. Kanji himself possesses an uncommon aptitude for fighting, especially up close and personal, and more especially with blunt objects. The man had been, at thirteen years of age, singlehandedly breaking up, beating and conquering entire biker gangs, catching up to their motorcycles on only his standard ten-speed bicycle.
Starting Inventory: A bitchin folding chair made of metals not seen on Earth lovingly dubbed "Murderin' Chair," a sewing kit, cigarettes, a lighter, an Evoker, ten Beads and five Soma Drops.
